Day #28

Good evening.
 
I started today at 7am with a chocolate protein shake and mashed up banana before my run.
 
PROTEIN - 22.5g
CALORIES - 236

I met the girls at our usual meeting point for our weekly long run. The weather was fine when we started but as we got to the half way point, the heavens opened, the wind was howling and we were absolutely freezing!

1 hour 49 minutes and 10 miles later we had burned off well over a 1000 calories and we were feeling good....ish!

 
As soon as I got in from the run it was time for breakfast.
 
BREAKFAST 10AM
40g Oats and 200g Greek yogurt
 
 
PROTEIN - 25g
CALORIES - 264

At 12pm, I had a tin of tuna

LUNCH 2.30PM
For lunch it was an omelette made with Sians finest fresh chicken eggs! Bloody delicious they were too! Thanks Sian!  I also had 100g spinach, fresh tomato and 30g mozzarella cheese.

 
Omelettes are one of my favourite things to have, so quick easy and very tasty!

4.30pm it's snack time so I had 200g of Greek yogurt.


I really like this yogurt, its so thick, creamy and filling.

DINNER 7.30PM
TONIGHTS FAKEAWAY IS CHICKEN CURRY AND CAULIFLOWER RICE
I have made a big batch of this for the whole family tonight.
 
 I used: Chicken Breasts, 30g of hot curry powder, Tin of tomatoes, 100g of tomato puree, Onions and mushrooms.
I browned off all the ingredients in a frying pan for about 10 minutes and then added it all to the slow cooker. It has been cooking on low all day.
 
 
For the cauliflower rice, just blend the cauliflower in a food processor and microwave for 5 minutes until soft.
 
 
...And I've made a bit extra for tomorrow night too.
Cauliflower is just 25 calories per 100g and 2g of protein per 100g so it is great when you want to keep calories low. I have substituted a few things for the cauliflower version before but this is the first time for me to try it as rice.
 
 
Well, I have to be honest, I think I actually prefer it to rice. It was so much tastier than what I thought and went really well with the curry!

At about 9.30 tonight, I am going to have a chocolate protein shake with 100g of Greek yogurt, so it's more like a chocolate smoothie, just for that little extra protein
